Day 1
1 Get your bearings with a scenic walk along the city walls and Terrasse Dufferin.
2 Head to Battlefields Park to check out the Discovery Pavilion to see what activities interest you, then visit the ancient Martello fortification towers along the city walls.
3 Enjoy a leisurely late lunch at the museum restaurant.
4 Explore the Museum of Fine Arts within Battlefields Park.
5 Hit Lower Town for a fun and whimsical gourmet dinner at Laurie Raphaël, then discover the district on an after-dinner stroll.

Day 2
1 It's back to Battlefields Park to start your day with a nice outdoor workout: walking, skiing or in-line skating — depending on your pleasure, and the season.
2 Trot on over to La Citadelle to marvel at the changing of the guard ceremony then investigate the Musée Royal 22e Régiment museum onsite.
3 In keeping with the day's historic motif, do lunch old-school at nearby Aux Anciens Canadiens.
4 Hang out in Upper Town for browsing and shopping along dynamic Rue Saint-Jean.
5 Don't forget to marvel at the stained-glass windows and ornate organ housed within Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
6 Cab over to Saint-Roch for drinks and socializing at trendy lounge Le Boudoir.

Day 3
1 Backflips anyone? Take a field trip to circus school and get your trapeze on at one of the three-hour initiation workshops offered by l’École de cirque de Québec.
2 For lunch, saunter back into town to grab a savoury baguette sandwich at a French patisserie or café.
3 Head back to Saint.-Roch for dinner and mojitos at Versa, a hotspot serving delicious, fun cuisine. Then, bar hop the night away at this hip district's varied hotspots.

Day 4
1 Begin the morning in the Lower Town by perusing the shops and galleries of Place Royale.
2 Bask in the glory of the beautiful 17th century stone church nearby, Église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires.
3 Learn about Québec's people at the Museum of Civilization's permanent exhibit, People of Québec. Marvel at the museum's amazing architecture.
4 Feast on lunch at nearby L'Initiale for classic French food in a serene and sophisticated ambience.
5 Finish the day at the interactive museum, Centre d’Interpretation de Place-Royale, to lean all about New France.
6 Head back to Upper Town to drink the evening away with the locals at Pub St.-Alexandre, and if you're lucky, catch a performance by a local band.

Day 5
1 Cab over to Saint-Roch to spend the morning on foot gallivanting through the many shops and galleries of this vibrant neighbourhood.
2 For lunch, enjoy simple flavourful bistro fare in a spacious, bright and hip art gallery and restaurant, Café du Clocher Penché.
3 Head back to Upper Town for sunset to stroll along Terrasse Dufferin outside Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. If weather permits, put on your ice skates and do a little twirl.

Day 6
1 Day trip! Depending on the season, go sugaring off, skiing or enjoy water sports. Another option is a visit to Île d'Orléans.
2 Return to town in time for dinner to savour an exquisite contemporary twist on French Canadian Cuisine at Panache in Auberge Saint-Antoine.
3 Exit the resto and just walk around this cobblestone neighbourhood to discover small, elegant art galleries and the Old Port by night.

Day 7
1 Start the day squeezing melons and perusing artisanal goods at the Marché du Vieux-Port de Québec farmers market in the Lower Town.
2 Dig into a healthy lunch at Le Commensal's vegetarian buffet in nearby Parliament Hill.
3 Spend the afternoon doing last-minute shopping in the quaint Petit Champlain area.
4 Finish things off with a toast at local institution Bar Le Sacrilège.
