Overview
The sprawling Ray Twinney Recreation Complex has been home to the Newmarket Hurricanes, a local ice hockey team. The arena is a multi-purpose sports facility named after Ray Twinney, a former mayor of Newmarket. The main arena can hold up to 3700 people and offers fantastic facilities. The complex also does hold a swimming pool, a gymnasium, baseball and soft ball diamonds. Over the years, the stadium has also hosted events like the Kanata Festival and many other tournaments and matches.
