Victoria memorial Square is a former cemetery that serves now as a park in Toronto. The cemetery was the first to be used by Europeans in the area. It is a monumental site for the War of 1812. In 1863, it was the first military cemetery with 400 graves. Therefore, at the end of the 19th Century, the cemetery was turned into a park. The lights, pathways, street benches, trees and other plants in a playground give it park-like features that attracts tourists.
