Overview
In existence for more than 150 years, ever since the time soldiers used to walk into the pub via a tunnel that connected the building to Fort York, Wheat Sheaf Tavern is considered to be the oldest pub in Toronto. Today, despite the removal of tunnel, the pub has retained its old-world charm, that still attracts the seasoned regulars who have been a part of its legendary existence as well as the younger crop. As for the food, the pub serves the regular American fare of burgers, wraps, sandwiches, nachos, salads and other appetizers. Its beer selection is extensive and is bound to impress avid beer drinkers. All in all, Wheat Sheaf Tavern is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of beer and catch your favorite sports team in action.
