A favorite with the local Eastern European émigrés, Balkan House serves up the best of Southeastern Mediterranean cooking in huge portions. The room is reminiscent of a European hunting lodge, and the staff is always helpful and courteous. For a sampling of Balkan specialties, try the Balkan platter for one, which is generous enough to serve two people, as are most of the entrees. Popular items include fresh sausage and a variety of grilled meats and kebabs. Balkan House offers a Sunday buffet for great value, and live music on weekends.
