Known simply as '22', this parrilla (barbecue restaurant) is located in a working class neighborhood just beyond the chic shopping district in trendy Palermo Soho. Still catering to the working classes, it retains the honest, down-to-earth good food demanded by the locals. The barbecue grill is in full view when you enter the premises and the experienced waiters provide excellent service. Community teams, groups of women and local businessmen show up regularly to eat gorgeous steaks, chorizo (sausage) and milanesas napolitana (thinly sliced meat or chicken, breaded and topped with tomato sauce, ham and melted cheese). The homemade flan flaunts all its bubbles and comes topped with a mountain of dulce de leche. It is a must to share at the end of the meal.
