Palacio Alsina, Buenos Aires

In a neighborhood typical of tango bars and cafes, Alsina makes for a good meeting place for the gay community. Housed in an old mansion, this place has been dramatically transformed into a party house with funky lights in dark rooms, video screens and the comfy sofas upstairs. The music played here is mostly a mixture of electronica and hip hop. With mostly men frequenting this place, a lot of foreign tourists head here to socialize with locals and get a feel of the city's vibe. Drag queens add to the whimsical ambiance, while themed nights add a zing to the overall atmosphere. Alsina has a well stocked bar serving up some great alcoholic beverages.
