Buenos Aires can be an especially hard place to find a sandwich made of more than ham and cheese. Fortunately, Mark’s Deli & Coffeehouse offers frustrated tourists, ex-pats, and curious portenos American-style sandwiches that are otherwise nonexistent in the area. This modern deli is located in the heart of ultra trendy Palermo Soho, and is extremely popular during lunch hours. The sandwich selection includes everything from pastrami to smoked salmon. On a nice day, dining is expanded to the beautiful shaded patio. Soups and salads are equally popular at Mark’s, as are the pastries on display at the counter.
