ThisIsNotAGallery is a unique, non-commercial art space in a converted Palermo warehouse, dedicated to exhibiting new media by emerging and established artists that otherwise have difficulty finding representation in other, more profit-oriented galleries, as well as traveling shows (such as posters by South African graphic design team The President). The main space is only open for show openings, closings, one-off performances and concerts; work is visible round the clock through the street-side peep hole that looks into a screening room with constant video art exhibitions. All forms of visual expression, including painting, sculpture, drawings, photography, design, video and any other format that explores and experiments or eludes any of the above definitions.
