Housed inside what is possibly Rio's largest music store, Modern Sound, Allegro Bistro Musical is the perfect spot for relaxing over an early evening drink with a backdrop of live bossa nova. The menu offers interesting salads, soups and sweet treats such as muffins, as well as a host of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. But it's the musical menu that is the real draw, with excellent live bossa nova each and every evening, from around 5pm. There's no charge for the entertainment, and as menu prices are very reasonable, this is a great place for music fans on a budget. Call ahead for hours.
