Exposed brick walls, live music, and paintings by the eccentric Chilean artist Selaron set the scene for a wonderful dining experience at Santa Arte. The young head chef Vladimir Reis pays enormous attention to the presentation of his dishes, ranging from traditional Brazilian soups and stews to Italian salads and risottos. The food tastes every bit as good as it looks. Try the ceviche (fish marinated in lemon and served with a carrot and beetroot salad) followed by one of the excellent chicken dishes. Vegetarians might want to try the delicious sandwich of grilled aubergine and cheese, or the equally tasty mixed-grain risotto. - Lucy Bryson
