It can be surprisingly difficult to find good but affordable food in Centro after 2p, as many informal restaurants in this business-centered district cater largely to the lunchtime rush of office workers. Beduino is an exception, serving well-prepared and fairly priced dishes until late in the evening during the week. The set meals here are particularly good value, and diners can take their pick from hearty platefuls that typically involve a chicken or meat option alongside rice, lentils and tabouleh: tasty cracked wheat salad with tomatoes and chopped peppers. Entrees, or quick snacks for those in a rush, include kibe (a sort of elongated meatball) stuffed with soft cheese, or esfihas (baked pastries) filled with meat, chicken or cheese. Service at Beduino is quick and efficient without being rushed, and diners are welcome to linger over a glass of wine. - Lucy Bryson
