A traditional boteco (informal bar-restaurant) in the heart of central Rio, Benedito offers a musical menu that is as appetizing as its food. From Monday to Friday, Benedito offers a good pay-by-weight buffet that takes in everything from sushi and salads to hot meat dishes, while on Saturdays there's a set meal including a tasty traditional feijoada, a hearty meat and bean stew. Arrive after 2p, and your Saturday lunch will be accompanied by live samba music, continuing into the night with special guests each week. The music continues throughout the week, taking in Samba, Choro and Musica Popular Brasileira, while on Saturdays futebol (football/soccer) matches are shown live on the big screen.
