Cabaret Kalesa is more nightclub than theater revue, but this still does not deter energetic inhabitants from Rio to frequent the place. It used to be a club during the 90's but then they closed for eight years and just reopened to the delight of many. On Saturdays, the dance floor is commanded by DJ Janot, where he spins a mix of MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and international hits and the shows even have go-go dancers that will perform for you at your table, for both men and women. On other nights, the club hosts a mini-carnaval complete with the dancing and drums. And if this isn't enough enjoyment, there is also an open-air terrace with beautiful views of the Morro da Conceição and a place to sip your cocktail with that special someone.
