Cia de Teatro da Universidade Candido Mendes is a students' theater of the University of Candido Mendes. It was created out of a need to express independently the theatrical talents and sensibilities of the students. The theater is relatively young at five years, yet it has had a successful run since its inception, with some brilliant performances being staged. Experimental theater at its best can be witnessed here. The theater works on a non-profit basis.
