Overview
Cidade do Rock is a mammoth venue that has a capacity for over 100,000 music fans, and houses the Rock in Rio music festival. Previously, the festival has been held in Lisbon, and Rio's rockers are set to welcome the festival back with open arms. The vast venue also houses theme park rides and other family-friendly attractions, and will form part of the Olympic Village during the 2016 Rio Olympics. When not being used by athletes, the public can make use of sports facilities here, as well as catch big name music acts. -Lucy Bryson
