CineGloria, Rio de Janeiro

Underground in every sense of the word, CineGloria is a little hard to spot, hidden under a walkway beneath a public square in the residential downtown neighborhood of Gloria. But film buffs will find it well worth seeking out, as this small cinema shows many international films, usually in the original language with Portuguese subtitles. A real alternative to the multiplex cinemas showing dubbed Hollywood blockbusters, this is the place to find independent Brazilian films as well as international offerings.
