With furniture designed by the uber-chic Philippe Starck, an immaculately-attired clientele and a menu that aims to be both sophisticated and simple, Gloss is not your average shopping mall eatery. The contemporary menu offers delicious entrees such as salmon pieces marinated in mustard and dill sauce, accompanied by toasted pita bread and cucumber salad. The mains are equally tempting– a popular order is shrimp risotto with the slightest hint of ginger. Many of the dishes have an Arab influence, which creates an interesting fusion with the fresh local ingredients.
