This off beat tourist Italian eatery is well worth the Metro ride to the unassuming neighborhood of Tijuca, as it offers top-notch Italian dishes in beautiful surroundings. Saltimbocca was decorated by the same French team that gave super-sophisticated Copacabana Palace a lick of paint, and the wooden deck is a wonderful spot for dinner and drinks on a balmy evening. Stars of the menu include bruschetta covered in garlic, aubergine and ricotta, and freshly-made pastas with indulgently rich, creamy sauces.
