This simple but sophisticated cafe-bistro in Leblon prides itself on offering top-notch food, immaculately presented, and having surprisingly reasonable prices given the prime location. Each day, there are eight main dishes to choose from, usually including one meat, one fish and one pasta dish. One tasty example is the steak medallion served stacked with brie and potato rosti around BRL40. Among the starters, the tomato soup with dashes of pesto and buffalo mozzarella is particularly good. Other temptations include a good wine list and yummy desserts, like a crepe filled with Nutella and banana, served with ice cream and hot chocolate sauce - this sinful dish is worth the calories. -Lucy Bryson
