Sobrada das Massas, Rio de Janeiro

Handily located by the Curvelo bonde (tram) station, Sobrado Das Massas serves good quality pizzas and pasta dishes in a relaxed, unpretentious setting. Paintings of the famous tram adorn the walls, as locals gather to enjoy a meal, a chat, and a drink. A good side dish here is the tasty broccoli rice - a Brazilian staple, but here it is very well made and served in an absolutely huge portions. The bar also serves good caipirinhas (lime and sugar cane rum cocktails), and reasonably priced wine.
