Discretely set among sprinkling of shops and restaurants on Rua Haddock Lobo, Epice is an understated gem that offers guests a combination of rustic and contemporary Brazilian cuisine. Head Chef Albert Landgraf opened Epice, utilizing the refined techniques of molecular gastronomy not to explore the technical limitations of his creations, but to augment otherwise ubiquitous local offerings with innovative accouterments and garnishing. The executive lunch offers a wide range of dishes with Landgraf's signature spin while the dinner menu offers a wider range of a la carte options that are beautifully imagined and plated. The dessert menu is perhaps the most adventurous application of Epice's primary thesis, featuring pineapple ravioli in a chocolate mousse as well as macerated strawberries with a honey-vinegar reduction.
