Opened in 1961, the Museu de Arte Brasileira (The Museum of Art) was set up to give contemporary Brazilian art popularity. It solely promotes over 2000 pieces of artworks, most of them by local artist. The collections on display here include paintings, artifacts, furniture, and works of artists such as Bruno Giorgi, Lasar Segall and Candido Portinari. A great place to learn about the rich historic culture of Brazil and its people. A visit to the Museum of Brazilian Art is sure to leave you impressed.
