Overview
Galpon Victor Jara is warehouse-style concert venue, which is named after the Chilean folk singer Victor Jara, who died protesting against the savage military rule in 1973. Today, a lot of politically motivated youth converge here for meetings and demonstrations, supporting social causes. A number of independent musicians perform here as well. Victor's widow Joan Jara wanted that musicians who have no where to showcase their skills, find a place to perform, where like minded people would come together to appreciate them.
