The planetarium of the Universidad de Chile is the biggest audiovisual center in the country and one of the most modern in South America. It hosts activities for children of all ages. The first stage is called Programa Infantil, in which the children are taken on an imaginary trip across the solar system and learn about stars, constellations and comets. The kids also learn about basic concepts in astronomy such as the seasons, gravity and rotation. Older children learn about more complex topics, such as theories concerning the possibility of finding life elsewhere in our solar system and in the rest of the universe. Children will definitely not forget this fantastic world, which stimulates the imagination and provides a valuable learning experience.
