Overview
The church dates back to the 16th century, which makes it one of the oldest colonial churches remaining in Bogota. The beautiful coffered ceiling in splendid mudéjar (Spanish-Moorish) style is of particular interest. It was originally made in Seville (Spain) and transported across the Atlantic to be installed here. The sanctuary glitters with ornaments.
