This vantage point is 25 kilometers west of Guatemala city, on the highway to Antigua Guatemala. It offers a good panoramic view of the city. The best views are at night when the city is illuminated and the streets are more defined. It is advisable not to go early in the morning as it is foggy and the view unclear. At weekends it gets very busy in the afternoon, as it is mostly frequented by families from Guatemala City on their way back from visiting other places in the west of the country. It offers traditional dishes such as atol de elote, rice pudding, toasts, chorizo, grilled onions and rellenitos. There are many food stands and a restaurant where you can taste all these dishes while enjoying the beautiful view of the Guatemalan capital. Food stands are open everyday in the afternoon.
