Overview
Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Monasterio de la Recoleta is an enchanting piece of architecture comprising of various educative and informative material of the city. It was originally built in 1648 and houses a library which has a collection of 20,000 books and documents. Apart from the architecture and the library, the Monasterio de la Recoleta is well known for its museum which consists of various artifacts, religious artworks and painting from Escuela Cuzqueña and several historic collection of the era.
