Overview
Constructed at the end of the 15th century for natural and ritualistic aid in the Vilcabamba zone, this structure occupied 500 acres and housed 15,000 people. The buildings are two and three floors, and its pathways measure 400 meters long and 12 meters wide. Truly astonishing! The quickest access is via the district of Cachora in the department of Apurimac (five hours by car from Cusco). From there, you descend to the river of Apurimac and camp on its banks. Afterwards, it takes 12 hours to ascend the 1,500 meters to the city.
