Cicciolina, Cusco

Cicciolina, across the road from the Archbishop's Palace is a lively tapas bar and candle-lit restaurant. Everyone seems to know everyone and greet each other with a peck on the cheek at this second-floor eatery. Run by Argentinian Chef Luis Alberto Scilotto(of La Gloria fame), the menu of Cicciolina effectively combines Mediterranean tradition with products from the region. Seat yourself at the bar that wraps around the kitchen and you can watch your humus, smoked trout and polenta being prepared. End your meal with a cassava soufflé and you've tasted Cusco at its finest.
