Centro de Fotografía del CONAC, Caracas

This photography center was created by an agreement between the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura and the Instituto Autónomo Biblioteca Nacional, and is located near the latter building, on the same side as the Foro Libertador and opposite Panteón Nacional. The center covers all areas of activity related with photography, including the compilation of works, teaching, research and exhibition, workshops and lectures, activities for children and teenagers. Some of the events organized by this institution are: Galería del Coleccionista (collectors' gallery), Miércoles del Fotógrafo (a weekly event that takes place every Wednesday) and various exhibitions. Their facilities include a library and a bookshop. You can ask to have a guided tour.
