Overview
Lagoon La Rosa is one of the 200 lakes found in Merida. This lake has the lower part of the town built close to it and nearby lies the Museum of Science and Technology and the old sugar mill. These lakes were formed with the water melting from the glaciers high up in the Andes mountains. They supply water to the coffee growers and is also famous for trout fishing.
