Shortly after leaving Apartaderos in the direction of Santo Domingo, you will find a road to the right that leads to the Laguna de Mucubají, 3,500 meters above sea level and the largest lagoon in the state of Mérida.This lagoon is a very popular attraction and it is surrounded by an excellent tourist infrastructure, including a recreational area. In the Faustino Díaz Visitors Center you will obtain all the necessary information about the natural wonders around you and the excursions you can take. There is also a restaurant in which you will be able to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or a typical Andean trout dish. There is also an office of INPARQUES (the National Parks Institute).Admission fee for cars is Bs 400.
