Overview
The Sierra Nevada is the largest among the four regional national parks, comprising nearly 230,000 hectares of beautiful natural protected environment. Here there are almost fifty lagoons and waterfalls, and an enviable amount of tourist sites. In addition, there are plenty of options for those into sports, the arts, scientific research, history, gastronomy, entertainment, relaxation, health, tranquillity, and even shopping. The Ruta del Páramo runs along the western side of the Sierra Nevada, which also has numerous attractions that might interest you. In the end, all the time you spend here will never seem enough so as to take in all the beauty and culture.
