Overview

The Graz "Musikverein" was founded in 1815 and has built a great reputation through the years. The concerts, divided into four cycles, are extremely popular and the Stefaniensaal venue is utilized to its maximum. The orchestra cycle is particularly well attended and advance reservation is a 'sine qua non'. Lieder cycles, soloist cycles and chamber music punctuate the program in between. As far as the repertoire is concerned, anything from classical to experimental pieces are performed here and the musicians are a set of true virtuosos.
