The historic Innsbruck Landhaus or country-house, is one of the most beautiful private buildings in Tyrol and is situated in the centre historic Innsbruck. In 1725-1728 it was constructed as the most representative baroque palace by Georg Anton Gumpp. The main facade is the most impressive part of the building, the coat of arms of Tyrol high on the gable. The two-floor regional parliamentary room along with its ornate staircase, statues and frescoes showing landscapes and rivers of Tyrol, is one of the most beautiful rooms in town. Equally remarkable are the ornate fireplaces. The country-house chapel, also ornately decorated is at the centre of the building-complex.
