This Bavarian brewery, the first of its kind in Tyrol, is situated about 10km east of the city center. Whether in the so-called 'beer dungeon', Augustiner's cellar, in the guest garden, or in the cosy, rustic setting of the main room, there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy the fantastic Bavarian specialties. Apart from their famous Bavarian White Sausage and Pretzels (both together will set you back by EUR5), it is the outstanding brewing of Beer for which Austria's northern neighbors are best known. There are three types of light Augustiner beers on tap, as well as 'Edelstoff' (meaning 'precious material' - a sort of Pilsener) a dark, hereby beer and white beers by the bottle. Should you be really rather hungry, try the Augustiner Pfandl (Augustiner's dish), Pork Medallions wrapped in Bacon or the Knuckle of Pork.
