Overview
The 'Franziskanerkloster', constructed from 1644-55 can be found in the historic centre of the town of 'Hall', about 10km outside of Innsbruck. The adjoining church was consecrated in 1648. A fire in 1760 destroyed all but the walls. Inside the church the paintings on the left side-altar and to the right of the entrance, displaying Saint Paschalis and the birth of Saint Francis respectively are especially remarkable, as is the wooden relief showing Saint Anthony. The cloister equally offers some impressive paintings dating back to 1760/70, displaying images from the life of Saint Francis as well as a rare view of the historic town of Hall.
