Even the display cases next to the entrance to Bellaria indicate that here time has simply stood still. The decor of this one-screen cinema is exactly as it was when it opened in the post war period, only more faded and worn down. The assistant in the box office still puts up a list in the window and crosses of tickets as they are sold. This is also the same assistant who is responsible for running the refreshments and checking tickets. German films dating from 1928-1955 are shown in the afternoons for the very loyal Austrian and German elderly regulars and in the evening smaller more recent productions are shown, but never mainstream films.
