Overview
A lot of rare and lesser-known exotic plants and trees can be seen in this garden. Empress Maria Theresia founded the garden in 1754 after her physician suggested planting medicinal herbs. A few years later, this area was changed into the Botanical Gardens, which was then donated to the university. It is an oasis of peace and tranquility, and is therefore recommended not only for botanists, but also for parents and their children.
