The permanent exhibition of the Ethnological Museum, which is situated in the Neue Burg on Burgring, shows unique exhibits as objects from pre-Columbian Mexico, Polynesia or any other cultural location. Beyond the permanent displays are temporary exhibitions which illustrate different aspects of non-European cultures. For instance: African sculpture and pottery, far eastern artifacts, pieces from New Guinea and Australia are also featured. The collection comprises an impressive 200,000 ethnological objects and is constantly evolving and updating its cultural works. On weekends there is the possibility to join an interesting program especially for children and parents.
