The Rabenhof was built in the interwar period to provide living space for workers and families with a low income. The area is comprised of more than 1000 flats, but the architects made a concerted effort to create small units with a village-like atmosphere. The largest hall among these buildings accommodates a theater and until 1990, this room doubled as a kindergarten and a cinema. The program offers a wide range of productions, lots of Viennese music and songs, French chansons, theater and recitals, presented by well-known Austrian artists.
