Vapiano, Vienna

Vapiano is a gourmet, economical, self-serve, Italian restaurant, complete with fresh Italian herbs growing on each table for your picking pleasure. Despite the fact that the food is delicious and beautifully prepared – they combine white beans, spicy Italian sausage, red onions, and cheese for a Mexican pizza – the entire dining experience is something novel. All diners receive a "credit card" that keeps track of everything you order. There are several stations for ordering everything from pizza to salads to drinks. After ordering, you place the card over a red button on top of the computer. At the end, they simply swipe the card for your total and off you go! It's technology meets dining!
