Throughout Vienna, you will come across many impressive buildings that bear Otto Wagner's name, one of which is the Austrian Postal Services Bank building. Otto Wagner participated in the competition to design the bank building, and his entry was deemed the best from among 36 others. Designed in the Modernist style of architecture, this building is famous for demonstrating a shift away from Neoclassicism and Art Nouveau in Wagner's style. The building withstood the attacks of World War II, and in 2005, a museum dedicated to the architect was established within. Wagner:Werk Museum Postsparkasse houses about 200 exhibits which include photographs, press clippings, building plans and more. The museum also includes a cinema room where film clips are shown.
