Dedicated to the life and works of Czech Republic's greatest composer, Antonin Dvorak, the Villa Amerika museum is housed inside an 18th Century structure. Most of Antonin Dvorak's work revolved around romantic, chamber, symphonic and opera music, and was greatly inspired by the melodies of folk music from Moravia and Bohemia. This beautifully landscaped museum is an apt tribute, with display collections of manuscripts, written materials, photographs, posters and personal material of the maestro. Founded in 1932, Villa Amerika has been able to attract tourists and locals in large numbers, even today. Besides the main part of the museum, various classical music concerts are held in the concert hall to commemorate the work of Dvorak. This is a great place for lovers of classical music.
