Øresund Bridge (Øresundsbroen), Copenhagen

The Øresundsbroen bridge opened to create a new connection between the neighboring countries of Sweden and Denmark on July 1, 2000. Along with a highway on Amager and a fast train connection from the Central Station across Amager to Sweden, Øresundsbro unites the two countries not only geographically, but also culturally. The bridge is a hanging construction, beautiful in its engineering simplicity. The turns it takes across Øresund make the experience all the more extraordinary when you cross it.
