Kahvila Suomi Restaurant, Helsinki

Kahvila Suomi (Cafe Finland) is a place to go for those who wish to experience a traditional Finnish family dining atmosphere with an urban twist. Suomi offers proper homemade cooking and you will find many of the local favorites on the menu: reindeer sautée and meat balls to name but a few. Freshly baked cakes and pastries make an excellent dessert. An inexpensive lunch is served daily and can be chosen from a special menu with variety of choices. The restaurant has gained cult status among Japanese tourists since it was used in the main scene of a successful Japanese movie called The Seagull. - Paula Holst
