Korea House, Helsinki

Korea house is a pleasant surprise to be found on the narrow streets of the central yet tranquil neighborhood of Kruununhaka. Advertised as the best (as well as the only) authentic Korean restaurant in Helsinki, it sure delivers on its promise. The food is delicious and portions are hearty. An á la carte lunch is served daily between 11a and 2p. All portions come with tasty house-made kimchi, the famous spicy pickled cabbage. A selection of Korean beer will help to put out the flames that the well spiced dishes may cause for people with unaccustomed palates. -Paula Holst
