Overview
Alvar Aalto, the world-famous Finnish architect, designed the building as his studio and office in the mid-1950s. Today it houses the Alvar Aalto Foundation, the Alvar Aalto Archives and the Alvar Aalto Museum's departure of Architectural Heritage. The premises are open to visitors with an option for a guided tour from Tuesday to Friday at 11:30a. Studio Aalto is said to be one of the best of the architect's 1950s buildings. Fans of his unique style will definitely enjoy the tour. Those less familiar with his works will have the chance to learn about the master of functional Nordic architecture. - Paula Holst
