Founded in 1972, Galerie Athanor is located in the city center within a 180m2 site specifically designed to house contemporary art exhibits in three exhibition rooms. Under the direction of Jean-Pierre Alis, the gallery commands a large, diffusive collection of works, with exhibits by contemporary artists spanning several generations, with an emphasis on Supports/Surfaces and its exponents: Viallat, Dezeuze and Bioulès.
